Plaza de Grillos was born, designed and founded as a boutique winery to produce only high quality wines. It is through a combination between land, technology and knowledge that we devote ourselves to a quest for excellence in our wines. Our past experience has shown us that Plaza de Grillos has begun to write his own page in the formidable history of Argentine wine. The experience, the best grapes, and the fine integration of the oak are the foundation of our philosophy. The experience of Plaza de Grillos said that great wine is born of a great vineyard. Their Vineyards is located in VISTA FLORES, Tunuyán, UCO Valley at 1,150 meters above sea level. They cover 15 hectares in the heart of the most important productive oasis of Mendoza, at the foot of the Andes, with unique characteristics. Its sandy loam soil with ground calcium carbonate mantle gives the terroir a character that stands out. There are 4,500 plants per hectare with a yield of no more than 7,500 kilos. The drop irrigation and care, based on a deep respect for and commitment to the land, resulted in exceptional grapes for premium wines. The cricket (Grillo) is known and respected in many ancient cultures. It represents good fortune, vitality and prosperity. Their wines are elegant, sophisticated, complex and of considerable longevity. Making them still easy to drink, allowing the oak to respect the variety in its characteristics. That is the identity of the winery Plaza de Grillos.
